Positioning

The strapline "No.1 For Dance & R'n'B" defined the Galaxy brand up until late 2006. In line with a slight broadening of target demographic, from 15-29 to 15-34, the strapline changed to "Passion For Music, Passion For Life" often shortened to simply "Music, Passion, Life". The playlist remains unaffected, but the emphasis on "Dance and R'n'B" has been removed, so as to lessen the feeling of the station playing mainly specialist music, and improve the appeal to a mainstream audience. In April 2008 the station simplified its positioning even more to "Love Music." As before all of the imaging for the stations is made at Galaxy in Leeds with a team headed by Alex Jungius
