ICR has been broadcasting to Ipswich on 105.7fm since August 2007.
We offer a voice on radio to the diverse people of Ipswich, especially those who are under-represented - or not represented at all - on other local stations. We aim to be a source of information, to offer a platform for discussion, and to reflect the breadth of interests, cultures and languages that make Ipswich what it is.
We have a position for a full-time Station Co-ordinator. The post is funded initially for 6 months, but further funding is being sought. The starting salary is £25,282 (6 months pro-rata).
The job includes: managing the day-to-day operation of the station; supporting others' work on events, community development, the website, publicity and fundraising; and ensuring ICR's core values are reflected in everything the station does.
The post-holder will be committed proactively to a multi-cultural approach, embracing music outside the mainstream, local arts and artists, social action speech, the delivery of regular training courses, and working with volunteers.
Hours are flexible, but the post-holder must be prepared to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
