Part time Information Editors, Travel Script Writers and Broadcasters, Trafficlink

Trafficlink, the UK's leading provider of Traffic and travel information to commercial Radio, television and the BBC, has various opportunities to join their regional teams across their 7 locations, London, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Middlesbrough and Edinburgh (with the possibility of dual location role in Edinburgh and Glasgow) on a part - time basis.

Information Editors - You will handle jamline callers, contact many sources from the local CCTV unit to the relevant agency who maintains the road network, and you would be responsible for collating this data into our custom built database. You need the ability to handle a busy workload as you will be dealing with a huge variety of resources and also understand how to prioritise tasks while having excellent telephone skills to gain as much information from sources as you can. An excellent knowledge of a region's road network would be an advantage.

Travel Script Writers - You will have excellent computer skills and be able to condense travel news information into a readable and fluent script for our clients to use on-air. You must be able to work under pressure and manage time effetivley. A good knowledge of the UK's road network would also be an advantage

Broadcasters - You would be responsible for providing live and pre-recorded travel news bulletins to commercial and BBC clients. You would also support the information editors by making / taking phone calls and entering information onto a database. The ability to present articulately and confidently is must, whilst a good knowledge of a region's road network would be an advantage.

The positions in some regions (mainly Edinburgh and Cardiff) will encompass all of these skills. Various shifts are available 24 hours 7 days, however many of shifts are 6-10am and 3-7pm.
