The opportunity
To maintain and install software and PC hardware and integrate it into a radio broadcast environment. To join an existing team and share the commitment, working with station management. Our equipment is already installed and now mostly requires upgrades from time to time (eg operating systems, new web browsers or radio broadcast tools) and incident support (eg email not working). To liaise with (or be part of) the website development team in enabling new features on our website.
Skyline 102.5 FM, based in Hedge End, is one of a new generation of local FM radio stations with heavy commitments to the local community it serves, giving them a voice as they become producers as well as consumers of the content broadcast by the station and on its website platforms. Skyline offers a great opportunity to be involved in a multimedia organisation, gaining skills for your CV as well as the opportunity to contribute to society, and network for social and business contacts.
Skills/Qualifications
Experience in this area is preferred, though if haven't much experience but can evidence a genuine desire to work in this field, e.g. you are beginning a college course or training and want practical experience, then this is also welcome. Hours are flexible, approximately an hour a week or less, depending on whether there are incidents.
